From Wolf Moon to Flower Moon: What We’re Tending in the Deep Winter

We’ve just moved through the Wolf Moon, a lunation that asks us to listen more closely to hunger, to instinct, to what howls quietly beneath the surface when the world is still.

The Wolf Moon arrives in the heart of winter, when growth isn’t visible yet, but something is undeniably stirring. It reminds us that even in the coldest, quietest moments, we are not lost we are tracking. Paying attention. Conserving energy. Choosing what is worth carrying forward.

As we begin to turn our attention toward Flower Moon Festival, this feels especially poignant. While the land is still resting, the festival itself is beginning to take shape in unseen ways. Roots are forming. Connections are being woven. Intentions are settling into the soil.

Post–Wolf Moon Rituals to Carry You Forward

If you’re feeling tender, introspective, or a little raw right now — you’re right on time. Here are a few gentle practices to help integrate the Wolf Moon energy as we move toward spring:

🔥 Release What You Can’t Carry Write down what feels heavy, outdated, or no longer aligned. You don’t need to solve it — just name it. Tear the paper up or safely burn it as a symbol of letting go.

🌬 Breathe With Intention Place one hand on your chest, one on your belly. Inhale slowly through your nose, exhale through your mouth. Imagine making space inside yourself rather than pushing forward.

🌱 Plant an Intention (Literally or Symbolically) Whether it’s a seed, a stone, or a word written on paper — plant something with the intention you want to grow by May. Trust that you don’t need to see progress yet.

🌕 Rest Without Guilt Winter is not the time to force bloom. Rest is part of the ritual.

Flower Moon Festival Is Beginning to Bloom

Even as we move through winter’s stillness, Flower Moon Festival 2026 is quietly coming alive. The vision is clarifying, collaborators are finding their way in, and the shape of the gathering is becoming more tangible with each passing week.

This year, we’re especially excited to share that we’ll be offering a kids nature school area, lovingly sponsored by Spark PA. The space will include:

  • Kids yoga

  • Art experiences

  • Guided meditation and mindfulness

The Kids Area will be thoughtfully placed a bit more off to the side of the main festival flow — creating a true best of both worlds experience.

For families, this means children have a dedicated, enriching space designed just for them — playful, grounding, and supportive. For those attending without children, it means the ability to fully sink into your own practice, workshops, and experiences without distraction.

Everyone gets what they need. No one is excluded. Community expands.

Calling In Facilitators, Vendors & Volunteers

As the festival grows, we’re still opening our arms wide to those who feel called to be part of it.

We are currently seeking facilitators, with special interest in:

  • Sound healing.

  • Breathwork.

  • Somatic or nervous-system-focused practices.

  • Medicine men and woman sharing there wisdom with story.

🌿 Artisan vendors whose work is heart-led, handmade, and aligned with intentional gathering are also encouraged to apply.

🤍 And as always, volunteers are the heartbeat of this festival — if you feel called to help hold the space, we’d love to hear from you.
